TAIWAN – GHANA PRIVATE TRADE & INVESTMENT (TAGHTrade) is a non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to fostering trade and investment between Taiwan and Ghana. With a focus on enhancing economic collaboration and promoting bilateral relationships, our organization serves as a vital link between businesses, investors, and government entities in both countries. We strive to facilitate mutually beneficial partnerships and contribute to sustainable economic growth and development.

Mission

The mission of this organization is to promote friendship, cooperation, and cultural exchanges among its members and the Taiwanese business community. It aims to establish a professional image of business within society and strives to foster mutual investment and trade exchanges between its members and Taiwan’s economic and trade departments, as well as industrial and commercial enterprises.

Services

  1. Business Matchmaking: We connect Taiwanese and Ghanaian businesses, facilitating partnerships, joint ventures, and trade collaborations. Through our extensive network and industry knowledge, we identify potential business opportunities and assist in establishing mutually beneficial relationships.
  2. Investment Support: We provide guidance and assistance to investors interested in exploring investment opportunities in Taiwan and Ghana. Our team offers valuable insights, market research, and local expertise to help navigate investment landscapes and facilitate successful ventures.
  3. Trade Promotion: We organize trade missions, exhibitions, and business conferences to promote trade between Taiwan and Ghana. Alex Asiamah, Founder, President

Alex is a successful businessman in the logistic and transportation industry.  He comes from Ashanti region of Ghana.  His love for Taiwan and his country Ghana has put him on a path to bring the two cultures close together.

Eric Panti, Director

Eric is also a co-founder and a childhood friend of Mr. Asiamah.  He has made his success from building residential homes in high prices residential communities in Ghana.  He brings a wealth of local business experience and relationships to the society.

Andy Chou, Director

Andy Chou was born in Taipei, Taiwan and has lived in Taiwan, Ghana, and the USA.   After graduating from Emory University’s MBA program at the age of 24, Mr. Chou has continuously worked in the information technology and real estate industry.  Mr. Chou comes from a family tradition of entrepreneurship and small business start-ups.  His unique background with roots in Taiwan, education in the USA and businesses in Ghana, couple with over 20 years of experience working with African, Chinese and Americans give him a rare perspective into things.  He believes that there are several under-developed industries in Africa can be disrupted by applying simple technologies that most developed world takes for granted.
